Perry Conway is best described as a conservation educator with a camera. For over 30 years, he has devoted his technical, emotional and artistic energy to creating photographic images which make a visual statement about the value of wildlife and wild places.

Attitudes direct actions. Attitudes can be formed by viewing images which have a purpose. In the case
of Perry Conway, that purpose is to assist viewers
in forming positive attitudes about
the wild world around us.


Katmai National Park, Alaska

As creator and producer of the Aerie Nature Series, Perry leads educational programs about the natural world and our human relationship with it that have entertained and enlightened millions. He has personally given wildlife and conservation programs to over 2 million students, educators and members of the general public. With a Bachelor's degree in Biology and Master's degree in Education, Perry is well suited for this task.

His photographs and/or articles have been published in every major wildlife and natural history magazine in North America including: National Geographic, Audubon, National Wildlife, Ranger Rick, Smithsonian, Time, Newsweek and others. He has also won four national awards for his wildlife filmstrips including Best of Year at the National Educational Film Festival.
